Claudia Vernotti is Co-Founder and Director of ChinaEU- the first Brussels-based International Association promoting dialogue and business partnerships between Europe and China in the telecom, Internet and high tech fields. On behalf of ChinaEU, Claudia is in charge of the Association’s secretariat and day-to-day business, and she oversees a number of events and business projects, ranging from digital tourism to smart cities and e-commerce.

Fluent in Mandarin, she lived in China for five years, having served among others for the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and the Italian Embassy in Beijing.

She is the only Italian to hold a Chinese-English bilingual Master’s in International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University campus in Nanjing.
