Bert has over 20 years’ experience in business development and sales in the air cargo and aviation industry. Before joining WFS two years ago, he has spent the last ten years working for Liege Airport, most recently as Vice President Cargo & Logistics.

He started his career in the cargo handling department of the former Belgian flag carrier Sabena and later moved to Swissport. He also served as Commercial Manager Italy at the road transport and logistics company, H. Essers, and as Global Sales Leader at international flight academy, CAE.

Since 2022, as VP Business Development of E-commerce & Freight Forwarding Handling at WFS, Bert is supporting the roll-out of a dedicated service offering towards Logistics Service at all 35 WFS station in Europe.

This service, powered by a state-of-the-art WMS offers real-time transparency & 100% data-integration, allowing the full outsourcing of import and export handling for forwarders and ecommerce logistics companies.
